Wrinkle Treatments

Immediately After Treatment

It is common to experience:

• Small raised bumps at the injection sites

• Mild redness

• Tenderness

• Minor swelling

• Occasional bruising

 

These effects are generally temporary and resolve within a few hours to several days.

 

For the First 4 Hours

Please avoid:

• Rubbing or massaging the treated area

• Lying flat where possible

• Applying makeup over the treated area

• Excessive touching of the injection sites

 

For the First 24 Hours

Avoid:

• Strenuous exercise

• Saunas and steam rooms

• Hot yoga

• Excessive heat exposure

• Alcohol where practical

• Facial treatments

 

Continue your normal skincare routine unless otherwise advised.

 

When Will I Notice Results?

Individual responses vary.

 

Your clinician will discuss expected treatment timelines during your consultation and advise when your complimentary review appointment should be scheduled if required.

 

Volume Treatments

What Is Normal?

Following treatment you may experience:

• Swelling

• Bruising

• Tenderness

• Redness

• Firmness

• Mild asymmetry while swelling settles

 

These symptoms commonly improve over several days.

 

For the First 24-48 Hours

Avoid:

• Vigorous exercise

• Alcohol where practical

• Excessive heat

• Swimming

• Facial massage

• Pressure on the treated area

 

Where appropriate:

• Sleep on your back

• Keep your head slightly elevated overnight

• Stay well hydrated

 

Makeup

Avoid applying makeup directly over injection sites for at least 12 hours unless otherwise advised.

Dental Treatment

Where possible, avoid dental procedures for two weeks before and after treatment unless discussed with your clinician.

Skin Health Treatments

Following skin treatments you may experience temporary redness, sensitivity or dryness.

 

Depending on your treatment, your clinician may recommend:

• Gentle cleansing

• Increased moisturiser use

• Daily SPF 50+ sun protection

• Avoidance of active skincare ingredients for several days

• Avoidance of excessive heat and strenuous exercise for 24 hours

 

Specific aftercare instructions will be provided based on your treatment.

 

Dissolving Treatment

Following treatment you may experience:

• Swelling

• Tenderness

• Bruising

• Temporary unevenness

 

These effects generally improve as healing progresses.

 

Your clinician will advise whether a review appointment is recommended.

 

General Recovery Advice

To support healing:

• Stay well hydrated.

• Avoid smoking where possible.

• Protect your skin from excessive sun exposure.

• Follow all personalised aftercare instructions provided during your appointment.

• Contact the clinic if you have any concerns.

 

When Should I Contact the Clinic?

Please contact Nurse Ellen promptly if you experience:

• Increasing pain that is not improving

• Significant swelling that worsens rather than improves

• Signs of infection such as increasing redness, warmth or discharge

• Fever or feeling generally unwell

• Any unexpected symptoms that concern you

Complimentary Reviews

Where clinically appropriate, your practitioner may recommend a complimentary review appointment to assess your progress and discuss whether any further treatment is indicated.
